Call for applications to “2017 Pain Management Prize” for Young Investigators in Acute Pain

The European League Against Pain (EULAP®) invites applications for the 2017 “Pain Management” Prize. This annual award is funded by an unrestricted grant donated by the Menarini International Foundation. It honors junior investigators. This year it is addressed to the ones who have performed outstanding work in the field of “Acute Pain”, and are willing to present their results in a scientific poster. Entrants shall be less than 35 years old, and have received their Ph.D. or M.D. within the last 5 years. The award winners will be invited to present their posters in a dedicated room during the Symposium “Pain Management: Unmet needs in acute pain”, which will be held in Barcelona (14-16 September 2017). The European League Against Pain (EULAP®) is an international, multi‐stakeholder platform in the field of pain advocacy. Members of EULAP® are organizations whose focus is improving pain management, like European and National organizations representing patients, European and National scientific societies, health care professional organizations, Member of the European Parliament and other organizations with an interest in the field of pain management and advocacy.

EULAP® fosters excellence in education and research in the field of pain medicine. It promotes the translation of research advances into daily care. EULAP® fights for the recognition of the needs of people with pain diseases by the governing bodies in Europe and it’s the natural partner of European policy makers, when policies and regulatory frameworks are developed.
